Product Description
The Bobby Jones hybrids are designed to replace the hard-to-hit long irons. Rather than designing hybrids that look like irons, Jesse Ortiz' philosophy takes advantage of the fairway metal's low and deep center of gravity, its wide bodied triangle-of-stability (TOS), and its versatile contoured sole. Instead of using the homogenous shape of most hybrids long, flat leading edge Jesse Ortiz has created a more traditional shape hybrid. It is a throwback to the old Cleek or Mashee. These clubs were designed for maximum performance, with the ability to get the ball out of every type of lie, whether it be a divot or fairway bunker. Bobby Jones hybrids are also shorter in length to increase accuracy and truly be long iron replacements not fairway metal alternatives. All clubs feature a deep, translucent Jaguar Racing green color, proprietary JS-6 and JS-7 shafts, and classic, heavy knit head covers.

This review is from: Bobby Jones Hybrid 21° H3 by Jesse Ortiz - Right Hand, Available in Various Shaft Flex I'm a 7 handicap. While working on the range alongside my neighbor, who happens to have a handicap of 20, I couldn't help but notice that when he used his Bobby Jones H3 hybrid his shots were more often than not of the quality one would expect of a golfer with a much lower handicap. I asked him if I could try his club. I couldn't believe the results. The ball flew long and straight and landed softly. It was like cheating. I usually have trouble getting fairway woods and hybrids to fly very high and cannot make them land softly. Not any more. I immediately ordered a Bobby Jones H3 hybrid and am considering ordering a Bobby Jones H2 hybrid. This hybrid is also very useful around the greens with those little shots from the rough that I sometimes encounter. I have other hybrids but there is no comparison between the Bobby Jones Hybrid and others that I have tried. You can't go wrong with these clubs. |
