The HiBORE XLS Fairway Wood is loaded with design features that optimize conditions for your best possible shot. Crown plaque and "stability foil" dual-alignment features make it easy to properly align the club at address. Distance Driven Geometry aligns gravity with the face's Hot Spot for your most powerful and accurate hit possible and greater overall distance. The wood's Energy Transfer Core transfers the energy of your swing efficiently for higher ball speeds that translate into greater distance off the tee. With Full Face Performance, the sweet spot and C.O.R. Hot Spot align for improved launch conditions over a greater area of the face for optimal forgiveness and maximized ball speed.
Massive Face:
Nineteen percent larger than the original HiBORE fairway, it represents Cleveland's largest face ever on a fairway wood. By drastically increasing the hitting area, results on mis-hits have dramatically improved.
High Moment of Inertia (MOI):
A 24 percent larger head volume than the original HiBORE Fairway improves MOI for more stability and very accurate shots. Larger size makes it look extremely hittable and creates slightly more spin to get the ball into the air easily.
Dual Alignment Features:
Crown plaque and "stability foils" make it easy to properly align the club at address.
Distance Driven Geometry:
Distance Driven Geometry moves weight lower and deeper in the clubhead. This optimized CG location aligns the Center of Gravity Projection (CGP) with the C.O.R. Hot Spot in the center of the face, resulting in optimal launch conditions and higher ball speeds for greater overall distance.
Energy Transfer Core:
An engineered system of thin, lightweight titanium spines directs impact energy to the ball to create more efficient energy transfer and higher ball speeds.
Full Face Performance:
Alignment of sweet spot and C.O.R. Hot Spot produces optimal launch conditions over a larger area of the face, maximizing ball speed for increased driving distance.
Authenticity:
To help ensure authenticity of the new HiBORE XLS series, the toe graphics will change from white to yellow in the daylight or in UV conditions.

Good club for me both off the tee and off the fairway. It looks great at address and is light and controlable. I am getting back into the game at age 38 after not playing since high school. I am a bigger athletic hitter (6'3" 215) who even with the layoff and poor swing mechanics has no problem hitting the ball long on a consitent basis. Straight has always been my struggle however. The sweet spot on this club is very large. There are times I know I am mishitting the ball and I am still getting good straight distance. That straight distance is the biggest benefit I am getting when I hit this 3 wood. Very few spinning slices into the next fairway. Balls come off this club very straight for me with little late side spin. I am also picking the ball off the turf well with the club and again driving it straight and long. When I was younger I always felt more comfortable hitting a 3 or 4 iron off the fariway rather than a...Read more |
