Product Description
The new Heavy Putter weighing 90 percent more than standard putters recorded its first professional win as Troy Matteson used the Heavy Putter A1 center-shaft blade model en route to a two-stroke victory at the Nationwide TOUR's Virginia Beach Open in April of 2005 (Matteson ranked second in putts per greens in regulation and 18th in putts per round for the tournament). The Heavy Putter has been the industry's buzz since it launched in late January, 2005. The standard Heavy Putter weighs a total of 885 grams (roughly two pounds) the heaviest among USGA-conforming putters whereas conventional putters average 490 grams (roughly one pound). A heavy-mass putter head and an unprecedented Weight Management System, consisting of a heavy upper-shaft insert and interchangeable tip weights, create a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters. The Heavy Putter comes with two stainless steel 22.5 gram tip weights installed. For more weights, screws and an allen wrench, see the Heavy Putter Weight Kit.
