After viewing the video remarks of putting guru, Dave Stockton, and researching everything I could about Rossa's new CORZA GHOST PUTTER, I decided to take the leap and buy one. And the result: It's absolutely "Spooky" how good this is!
First, I admit I was skeptical that a white putter would make a difference on the green. It does! I tested it head-to-head against my dark colored putter and I was absolutely amazed at the difference. A far clearer view of the front of the putter and its position next to the ball. Dramatically clearer. Next, what about the three black sight lines on the top of the Corza? Remarkable! The slightest tip of the head and you can clearly see whether the face is opened or closed. And next, the mallet shaping of CORZA GHOST is a great format. I have seen photos of a blade version of this putter that is to come out -- different from the all white "core classics" version that is currently available at some outlets. I received this putter about 2 weeks ago and I wanted to test it well before leaving a review, but I could not resist and did not want to wait any longer. For me this putter was worth every penny. (once you get past your buddies teasing you for the "cute" white putter) I am a high handicapper and alignment is a big deal for me, my previous putter was an Odyssey tri-ball SRT putter but this one is ten times better. I am getting ready to put my other one on craigs list. I could not believe how accurate I was within 6 to 10 feet, I know that sounds like a given but for a high 90's golfer it is downright amazing. When putting between 10' and 30' when not sinking the putt I would end up close enough to almost guarantee to only 2-putt. The alignment, feel, and distance control and roll on this putter is very intuitive and easy to figure out, it is also a very well balanced club.
I too am not sure why that "hole" in the back of the mallet for regular putting; but it does...Read more 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Taylormade Rossa Corza Ghost Putter 34 Inches (Misc.) This is a great putter. Feels good, alignment tools are great, etc. Don't understand the round back either. Maybe to visualize the ball in there on follow-thru? I can't get their link on TaylorMade.com to work and read about it. All i know is... it does NOT help me pick a ball up like my older YES! putter did. If they just made the back of that ring a little flatter you could. It's just a big thick round pick. So I gotta bend my jelly roll over a little more often. Still a great putter. I got mine for free on the FedExCup Sweepstakes but I would buy it. I also researched and used this as an opportunity to try what a lot of experts suggest and that's using a shorter putter for my height 5'9"... putter is 30". Much more comfortable for me to just bend over in a relaxed position and have the club just fit my hands to where I want to be and it still be level and lined-up. |
