The club is distinguished by the company's Draw-Weighted Technology, which concentrates the weight in the back heel area, thereby encouraging a faster clubface rotation through impact to promote a right-to-left ball flight. The r7 Draw Rescue wood is particularly appropriate for players looking to gain extra distance by turning their chronic fades into draws, or who want to accommodate tough pin placements by hitting managed draws around water hazards, trees, or sand traps. The Draw-Weighted Technology works by moving the clubhead's center of gravity (CG) closer to the shaft. This speeds the rotation of the clubhead during the forward swing in the same way that a spinning figure skater speeds the rotation of her body by pulling her arms inward. As a result, the golfer has an easier time squaring the clubface at impact, thereby imparting either a draw spin or a reduced slice spin. The r7 Draw Rescue also boasts a clubhead design that's 12 percent larger than the Rescue Dual and Rescue Mid clubs, thereby promoting a higher moment of inertia (MOI) and higher, longer launches. And thanks to the T-shaped sole design--which reduces sole-to-turf friction at impact--the club is playable from all types of lies.
