Texan Classics Utility Hybrid Iron-Wood Golf Club

Glad I bought it. Thought that, for the price, it was worth the risk. (Shipping cost more than the club.) Have played with it twice hitting from the tee and on the fairway. Am very impressed - it hits straight and long for me. Much better than some clubs I have relegated to the back of the closet that cost much more.

Am so glad i bought it, i love using it better than my driver it's so forgiving straight and long shots. I even don't make a full swing because if i do i may hit the ball way too far it's that great. U know what? buy it and u'll know what am talking about i feel like a pro when am out on the course. I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!

My friend Jon who is new(er) to golf and had never used a hybrid before was admiring my Adams rescue 4-hybrid (which I love) and wanted a comparable club for his bag without spending a bunch of money. I said I'd see if I could find him a used one but before I could get to Play-it-Again I hopped on Amazon and found this Texan Classic. I figured for the price it would be worth a try and bought one for Jon. It arrived a few days later. Jon and I took it to a little nine-hole course (Columbus Park in Chicago) to put it through its paces. We took turns hitting a few balls with it and it worked fantastically well. I hit it alongside my much more expensive Adams club and hit it just about the same. The Texan has a little less loft than my Adams, but hit the ball just as far. It's easy to make solid contact with this club. The shaft is pretty quality for a low $$$ club! I'd hit this club happily myself.
