The Titleist PT 906F2 fairway wood has a Multi-Relief Sole that minimizes turf resistance and ensures that ground-sole contact remains forward, toward the leading edge of the sole. A softer 431 stainless steel body provides a sweet, solid feel while a 275 Carpenter steel face insert creates maximum ball speed over a larger face area. A larger face area, particularly in the heel and toe, increases the effective hitting area for greater forgiveness and playability. A Tour-inspired and Tour-proven design with a bore-thru design that positions the tip of the shaft lower and closer to the hitting area for better feel and greater stability at impact.
